[Insight2Day] My Eulogy

in eulogy •  6 years ago  (edited)

I think not many of us have ever think of how our eulogy will be once we leave this world that we are currently living in. Well, thanks to a seminar I am currently attending, called Mission to Millions, I get the chance to think and write out about it.

I wanted my Eulogy to be read out by my future children, who will be modelling after me. If I can choose to leave the strongest impression and also life impact, I want to leave them first to my children.

It goes like this:

Welcome everyone and thank you for coming together to celebrate the life of the truly wonderful person, my father, Crispin Jee Chen Hung. Today, I would not talk about him as I believe we have known him enough. I would like to share about what he would have always tell me if he is still alive. He is truly a person who live out what he preach. He always say, "Lead a healthy life, eat balance meal, do enough exercise and do not practice anything that is harmful such as smoking and drinking until you are drunk. Lead a stress-free life, be positive and always be nice to each other. Always remember to pray before meal, before sleep, before you drive; pray for yourself, your family, your friends and anyone you know is in need. Always give a hand to anyone in need as along as it is in your capabilities. Do not live a life of regrets. Do what your dreams tell you. If you can't do it, reach for proper ways to do it, leverage help from others and let them guide you. Do not just stop there and wait. Chances and opportunities will not come to you. Try to experience more things and you may learn things that you have never before. Live a life of good example for others, especially your next generation. Never take advantage of other people especially from those who are close to you. Learn to express your love with each other in the family. When problem arise, do not shove it away but always seek for solutions. Do not wait, seek help from experts. You can never be your own expert when you are the problems." And He will always say "I love you, son".

I truly put my heart into writing this. I want to live a life where my words can give impact in other people's life especially my own kins. So that they can continue a meaningful legacy as well.

And maybe there will be some of you asking, "Why isn't your wife reading your eulogy?" The reason being, I will really regret if I am to leave before @miniu in the future. I don't want her to be lonely because of I have left first as she will be really really sad. So, living healthily is also one of my mission to see to my future children growth and grow old with @miniu. Living longer than her or at least same life length as her, if God allows it.

Thank you for reading my Eulogy. Now, how about yours? If you are starting to think about it, I hope you are willing to share with me as well. 😁
