So, I got a 50/50 result yesterday. I feel really sorry for Switzerland, because they were the best team on the pitch and they would have deserved to win against England... but during the penalty shootout it is also about luck, and England won... unfortunately!
In the other match, I cheered for the Netherlands, but it was a quite solid match with two fighting teams, and finally a quarter-final that didn't end with a penalty shootout.
I'd say that the Netherlands deserved the victory, but I also want to say that Turkey did a fine job and that they proved themselves to be a good team with several good and sympathetic players, such as Arda Guler, and several others.
