IDENTIFY

I choose not to identify with my social class;
those people in my surroundings who happen to make as much money as I.

I choose not to identify with my place of work;
an institution which currently employs me, filled with people with whom I share no real connection.

I choose not to identify with my school;
an institution where I am surrounded by those from all over the world who share not my values.

I choose not to identify with those temporal institutions so tinged by unnatural interactions and false connection..
I choose not to identify with inauthentic groups created for the purpose of dividing me from my true brethren.
I choose not to identify with that which harms me.

I choose not to identify with those who have not my well being at heart, who could not and would not live civilly beside me in a society, and who are so fundamentally different than I that peaceful, prosperous coexistence is not possible.

Rather,

I choose to identify with my religion;
that faith, doctrine, and community that puts forth values which create stable, decent, and healthy societies.

I choose to identify with my homeland;
the region that gave me life, where I embarked upon the journey of existence, and where I became what I am.

I choose to identify with my people;
the blood from which I came and will preserve, those nearest me in this world, those who I will live beside, who will fight for me and whom I will fight for.

I choose to fight for the traditions which built my society, my conscience, and my culture.
I choose to fight for the land that fed me, raised me, and housed me, and those who helped me along the way.
I choose to fight for my people, who fought for me, who I am a part of, and whose interests are nearest my own.

I identify with my people.
I identify with my blood.
I will fight and die, live and love, and always sacrifice and contribute to the well being of my people.

It is with them that I choose to identify.
