I recently had to give up my VW Jetta TDI back to VW because of the diesel emissions scandal they were involved in. This put me in the market for a new car, and I decided I needed to make up for all the polluting I had been doing with the VW.
I decided on a 2017 Nissan Leaf. I've had this car for a little over 2 months now, and I absolutely love it! It seems like everywhere I go, there's always a free charger! I haven't paid anything for electricity to the vehicle yet! There's a free charger close to where I live, so I will park at the free charger for a few hours and just walk home.
The one thing I wish was better is the range. I can go about 120 miles on a full charge, which is great for the city, but if I want to go camping in the mountains, this isn't the car for that.
With the longer range EV's starting to come out now, I think the electric car market is getting ready to explode!
Once you experience what it's like to drive an electric car, you'll never want an ICE (internal combustion engine) again!
Awesome wheels, man! Shame about the range though... Guess you may have to buy a junker for the mountain trips! :)

good choice, man! I like electric cars, theres alot of tesla's rolling around here. but pollution should not be the reason to buy an EL-car, you know 17 of the biggest ships pollute more that all the cars in the whole world together, and how many thousands ships are there out there? your VW did no damage to the environment. But again, EL-cars are good for people in the city, and here they are really cheap, you get to drive in the buss lane, free parking, free ferrys, free tolls, free charging. But I still need my old VW Golf 1,9TDI to get up in the mountain for camping trips.

I used to have a Golf GTI. That was one of my favorite cars ever! The Leaf is very peppy though. I enjoy driving it!
