The other day, in my I Wish... post, I mentioned The Voice and one of his most famous songs. Well, I find myself listening to him again tonight, so let's feature the man for tonight's Evening Groove.
Here he is singing what may be one of the best songs of his catalog, as well as one of the best of this style. Incidentally it is also a favorite in Japanese karaoke boxes. You haven't lived till listening to old Japanese men try to belt this out out in badly accented English 😉.
My Way:
It's such a famous song that it's been covered by just about everyone, from The King (Elvis) to modern pop stars. Here is an interesting take on it, to carry on the Japanese theme I brought in in the previous paragraph. Yuzo Kayama's take on the song:
His voice is more similar to Dino's than Frank's, eh? Hmmm... I wonder if Dean ever sang it... Anyway, moving on. This performance of Fly Me To The Moon is a great one:
