The EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary will be held on Feb. 25 by conducting a chess tournament by the Bulacan Training Tournament 2019 which will be held in Barangay Saluysoy Center, Meycauayan City, Bulacan.
According to tournament organizer and national arbiter Richard dela Cruz, the two division tournaments (group A 2150 and below and group B 1850 and below) were held to recall the anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
Among those who participated were Israel "Ice" Landicho, Victor "Bong" Anas, Michael Linde, Von Isaac Atayde, Lloyd Rubio and Genghis Katipunan Imperial.
Other woodpushers participating in the one-day event organized by the Meycauayan Chess Club and the Bulacan Chess Association in collaboration with the newly established Novelty Chess Club Bulacan lead by Sonsea Agonoy and the San Jose Del Monte Woodpusher Society are Earl Lance Montion, Jhulo Golen, Jelaine Adriano, Ricky Echala, Eduardo Herrera, Cleian Keith Del Rosario and Marc Benedict Caleon.
In the Group A division, open to all players, whether or not the NCFP rating based on January 2019 will be not more than 2150 of their rapid rating of which P5,000 and the champion will bring home the medal.
While in the Group B division where their rating will not exceed 1850, P2,500 will be at stake and medal for the champion. Registration fee for Group A is P350 while Group B is P250 while less P50 for PWD player, Elementary Student, Senior Citizen and Female.
