HOW TO START A MULTIMILLIONPROJECT WITH ZERO CENT: Part 3:

Its not money you need to start a business; rather, Its a smart idea which you are willing to work upon until it becomes marketable and people are willing to pay a premium for.....that's what you really need.

I quite agree that money is very necessary but its not the first factor to be considered. If that's all you have and you are bereft of ideas and all the basic requirements you need to sustain what you have obtained; you will soon crash. Its called "money miss road".

Now let's look at another 3 basic requirements if you want to start a multimillion naira project with zero kobo..

1: ACCESS:
The greatest gift men can give you which is greater than money is the gift of ACCESS.

In June 2011, I was on "SUNRISE" a live program on channels TV on this very topic of starting a multimillion naira project with zero kobo... Alero Edu, the anchor person took me on. She queried how can someone start a business with no money? She gave an example of a barber. She said "won't you need clipper and other basic things?".

I told Alero and my entire viewers that; its only an amateur barber that will need a clipper at the onset.. I took her back to when I used to barb. I would step out of my house and go to families who are well-to-do and I will request for razor blade and small comb.

One after the other I will give fathers, uncles and their sons good barbing. You can't hang around rich people without being skillful. I was the best barber around those days. Latter, one of them travelled abroad and brought me two clippers. Another person gave me a shop which I converted to 3 chains of businesses:
#Barbing.
#Unisex fashion.

Christian video club.

By the time I was going for my Youth Service, I was running 3 businesses.
Alero; my interviewer was in awe.

I received over 100 calls from around the country after my interview on SUNRISE. I also got many jobs and speaking engagements thereafter.

Mr John Momoh, the CEO of channels TV made this happen and also commanded his men to cover my abuja and lagos book launch which was also presented on METROFILES. Just because he saw the works of my hands. All with zero kobo but solid VALUE.

Its time for young Nigerians to know this blatant truth: Instead of complaining no one is helping you, bend down and learn a skill. Convert your natural talents to solid skills and be second to none. At this point, an invisible force that works for the law of attraction will attract a promoter or angel investor your way and such person may not give you money but ACCESS.

Access in the hand of a man who knows his onions will take him to places. Please note: You can only control your preparations; you can't control your opportunity. By the power of Access, if you are given a foothold, you must convert it to stronghold.

2: FREE SERVICES:

Since am not KPMG and am not Philip Consulting; I have lost count of free services I have rendered for organizations like NYSC, United Nation Staff Association, Julius Berger and many other organizations and churches.

As someone or a small business enterprise just coming up; be humble and be wise enough to give free quality and excellent services. Its called planting or seed sowing. Men that matters are watching and above all; God the father is watching. Only those who sow in tears receive with joy.

Reciprocity is inevitable if you are consistent. As I send this daily postings free to over 7000 now. I started with about 1400 of my personal contacts but now many on my contact send it to others. This is my 86th post and am not stopping.

3: SURROUND YOURSELF WITH YOUR ALLIES NOT YOUR FOES:

Never go to where you are tolerated but go to where you are celebrated. Never share your vision with people with narrow minds who can't see the big picture.

Share your ideas with people who will give you leverage. They will support you and make your dreams come through. But be sensitive to know when their supports come to an end. You will not always see the same set of people in every new project. Friends come, friends go.

Never lean on man. Some are pillars. Some are scaffold. After playing their role, they will fold up. Some are angels. They just appear and disappear. Before you open your mouth to say thank you to angels, they would have gone. Enjoy them when they come and don't chase them when they exit. Move on!!!!
