Here the character 'EveryMan' represent us Everyone ; human being. Knowledge is the sister of 'EveryMan'. Story is represented in Allegorical or Religious view point where we can see the life of Everyman after his death; the life after death.
When Everyman's bad works are over, then he requested his Cousin or Friends or Goods they denied him for accompanying with him in the way of Heaven. After at last, his sister Knowledge help him by saying that Now Everyman should conface his wrong deeds that he did in his life, before God. Then, it can help him to release from his wrong deeds.

He did that. And at that moment his good deeds that he had done in his life are agree to accompany with him.With the help of his good deeds he successfully his journey to Heaven.

The main subject matter of the story is Prescribing a Moral that says "Do Good Works for Better Life After Death".
