Emei Mountain is located in the city of Emei in Leshan, Sichuan Province, China, and is one of the "Four Famous Buddhist Mountains" in China. Emei Mountain Scenic Area is a national key scenic spot and a Class 5 national tourist attraction.

Wannian Temple is one of the eight major temples on Mount Emei, built in the second year of Yuanxi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, originally named Pu Xian Temple (1600 AD) and renamed "Sheng Shou Wannian Temple" after its completion the following year.

The temple is home to a bronze statue of Puxian Bodhisattva riding a six-toothed white elephant, cast in the Song Dynasty, 7.85 metres high and weighing 62 tonnes. The statue is over a thousand years old and is a rare national treasure.

The White Dragon Cave, also known as the White Dragon Temple, was built in the Ming Dynasty during the Jiajing period. According to legend, the White Snake was here when she was able to cultivate herself and went to the West Lake in Hangzhou with the Green Snake from the opposite valley, where she met Xu Xian and performed a touching love story.
