Rain running... and a super sore butt.

I just finished a 3.8km run that lasted about 0hh:26mm:28ss !

Hello hello!

So, had a super great weekend of planting and gardening and all that elderly stuff. I still have no idea if our little veggie patch is economically viable (wood + super dirt + yearly plants > just buying groceries) but it's so ridiculously exciting and rewarding. I built the veggie box around this time last year, so that part of the investment was all sorted... the dirt was still amazing... so soft and fertile even after a year... so planting our new veggies and fruits took like two seconds.

Ah, you might have to turn your head sideways..

But...ah, sore butt after all that... I'm not sure exactly what caused megaDOMS, but any movement brings it on. Not moving though... totally fine.

I thought my run today would be affected, but I was actually okay. My Achilles were way less sore than on Friday, which is awesome, and really helps my conviction that conditioning is king. They still weren't comfortable, but I'm hoping that after another couple of weeks I'll be pain free.

You can never have enough herbs...Thats about all we grow now and we always try to use them.
Look forward to seeing the results of the planting and good run as well.

There is literally nothing better than homemade herbs! Even when we've lived in apartments, there's always been some fresh basil within arms reach.

Thanks Vince!

Very different from a scorched dry Melbourne veggie garden. I'm sure mine is not economical but what we do harvest is always delicious and it also gives me a great appreciation of the cheapness and convenience of food at the shop :)

Hey hey! My two comments on this post are the only two people I knew before jumping on this platform. Portland has so much rain... so scorched dry just never happens here.

It is funny just how cheap veggies are though... I've been to the grocery store and gotten a whole basket of veggies and spent virtually nothing... and yet so much work to actually grow them... but so worth it.

Over these 37 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 140.80 kms at an average pace of roughly 6:56 min/km!

Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too!
