Still struggling with my Achilles

I just finished a 3.8km run that lasted about 0hh:26mm:18ss !

Dagnammit... I was hoping that I'd be all conditioned by now.

I wasn't conditioned on Monday... but today is Wednesday, a full two days later and I'm still not conditioned! What gives?!?
Today was still really rough, especially on my crazy hill (in the photo above) my Achilles were just toast. They get through the first half of the run completely fine, but the return trip they're just really unhappy.

I can't help but think I'm doing something wrong... but I've been here before and I know with a bit of persistence and a lot of stretching that I'll get to a point where the only thing hurting is my lungs... and they'll keep hurting until I'm sprinting 4kms (and then obviously they'll be super hurting). That's the problem with the Quest for Fitness, it never actually gets easier... only the distances get longer or the times are faster.

Still really happy with my time though... even with all the hill walking and hill photoing and just generally being super over it.

Foam Roller? Just saying, its usually a little bit of pain, but then the next morning, my body feels so good.
Either way, take care of yourself and hope your able to recover well before you next run.

Oh yeah... we're got a few foam rollers around... I always remember to foam roll when my quads are sore, but I never think of it when my calves are playing up. I'm going to start leaving it out to remind myself. Good tip! Thanks!!

Maybe give your legs a break and go back to feeling your elbow tendonitis.

Even harder as we age. :(
Niggles don't just get better by the next day and new ones will randomly appear.
