Last year, my Fort Galt business partners and I sat down and produced this video for our friends at the Seasteading Institute to express our vision for a city at sea. When people ask me where my vision for Fort Galt ultimately leads us, I often refer to Seasteading as a significant part of the bigger picture. We see it as one of the more attractive and viable options available to us as we slip through the fingers of our governments' ever-clenching fists.
This model isn't meant to be a final design, by any means, nor do we expect all future seasteads to conform to any single set of standards or norms. It's only meant to spark interest in the topic and get the conversation flowing. Would you live in a mobile city on the ocean? Maybe one on the calmer waters of a lake? What would you require to be happy at such a place? Of course we're not going to see one take shape tomorrow but I strongly believe that I'll see them become commonplace in my lifetime and I'd love to get as much input from as many people on the subject, as early as possible, before we begin crafting our visions out there on the wide open waters.
