Initial experience on getting passport

in experience •  7 years ago

Passport is being used by people when they do travel internationally and this is one requirement that is really important. If you don't have this then you have no authority to travel abroad whether these could be work or just a tourist.

Currently i have no passport yet and i am still applying one. I thought that it would be too easy to get passport, you just secure your requirements and that's it but it's a bit different from what i have experienced.

I have talk to my friends first on the details and they have informed me that reservations on appointment is needed. As i have checked on Department of Foreign Affairs website, all date and time schedule are already full on my city.

Today, i have done a couple of attempts just to check opening slots, every minute i do refresh and luckily, i think about an hour of doing it i successfully get a slot and immediately inputted all necessary fields before you can finish the entire process of reserving your scheduled slots. Each of those who have successfully entered a vacant slot has given around 15 minutes to finish their reservation entry or it will be open again and you will be rejected.

The competition of getting schedule is too much and i think those people who are not looking always into computers with internet surely have a problem. Open slots are opened randomly and we don't know what time will it open.

It was an awesome day for me today since i got my reservation slot, and now it's time for me to secure my requirements so i could have my own passport.

What i had observe is that the government should find way on improving the processing of passport whether this is a new application or renewal. By this many people will be accommodated and there will be no more competition of getting schedules.

What concerned me is when I flew back from visiting Israel I went through an eye retina scanner. I do not like the idea of giving away this kind of personal information just to fly back home.
