Hey there! It's @ddrfr33k and @chiren, with another awesome announcement! This is something awesome, a great opportunity to help save lives and have fun doing it. We are, of course, talking about Extra Life.

If you're not familiar with Extra Life, it's a partnership between Children's Miracle Network hospitals and Twitch. Since 2008, gamers across the US and Canada have come together to raise money for their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. It's a great charity that does a lot of good around the country. Since 2008, gamers have raised over $50 Million for lifesaving care. No, really. It truly is lifesaving. CMN Hospitals writes off upwards of $400,000 per day in care for families that cannot afford it. Every dollar helps.

The first Saturday in November is Extra Life Game Day. This is the big day for a lot of fundraisers. And we're going to help!

On Extra Life Game Day, Vimm is going to highlight streamers who raise money for Extra Life

We plan to do this with a front page banner showing everyone that is streaming for Extra Life. Yep! That's right. We don't care what tier you're in. You can get on the front page and get highlighted for helping save lives. How do you do this? Simple! We have a form for you to fill out. Click here and fill out this online form. Once you have that filled out...

Please fill out this form by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, October 30, Eastern Time. This will give @chiren and @ddrfr33k enough time to make sure that everyone who wants to get on the front page actually gets on the front page. These things take time and effort, you know!

But we're not done here! We want to reward every streamer that contributes. So you know what we're going to do? We're going to give everyone that streams their Extra Life fundraiser the same upvotes that staff get on their streams. A whopping 60% upvote! Please make sure you use the #extralife tag when making your stream post, otherwise we won't be able to give you the upvote you deserve. No hard feelings, we just want to draw as much attention to Extra Life Game Day as possible. If we could get the tag trending, wouldn't that be sick?

It's not ready yet, but @chiren is hard at work implementing stream overlays to show off donation goals and the like. Very soon now, you're going to see a section in your settings to add your Participant ID and your team ID. These are needed in order to track your donation progress. To find your Participant ID, go to your Extra Life Profile and check out the URL. It should look something like this:

The Participant ID is right at the end. This one just so happens to belong to @ddrfr33k. Go donate if you want. Or don't, we're not your mother. Anyway! If you are part of a team, go to the team page. Same deal, except you'll see a Team ID in the URL instead. Copy those IDs, paste them into the appropriate fields in settings, and click save. When you do that, you will see a donation button on your channel that links to your Extra Life Profile. Anyone who clicks on that button will be directed to your donation page to donate to your fund.

If you want an alert for your donations, please check out StreamLabs. Their alert bot has an Extra Life donation alert. It's easy to set up and you can use your own audio and gif. No sense in reinventing the wheel, you know?

Also, if you're looking for streamers to check out, @ddrfr33k is going to live up to his name and play a boatload of #ddr for his local Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare. Last year, he ran almost a half marathon playing DDR. No, really. 12.97 miles tracked on his FitBit. That's 19.3km for you crazy people that don't use freedom units.
