How do you stay up to date about everything Steem?

My dad asked me today if anything new was happening on the Steem front (as he calls it).

I'm 99% up to date about everything Steem so there is always something to share.

I told him what I was working on (the 3speak article from this morning) and also mentioned many other developments including Steem Engine.

I told him (he is an investor in Steem) that the price is still lagging a bit and I do have good hope that ultimately it will go up when we get more people to see what we are building here.

Now later that same day, I was speaking to a Steem developer.

At some point in the conversation, I mentioned @appics.

He then asked me "What is Appics?".

I almost fell off my chair! How can he not know!

And then it hit me.

How many people are actually 99% up to date about what is happening here all the time 24/7?

I always assume everyone is up-to-date about everything Steem but maybe that's not the case?

I do spend an insane amount of time on here....maybe my assumptions are fairly wrong.

How do you stay up to date about everything Steem?

Please let me know.

You think that's bad...sometimes there are things going on in Splinterlands that I don't even know about lol. It's getting near impossible to keep up with everything going on here, and that's great!

LOL! I think that says it all.

@steempeak is trying to make a steem news page, that could be interesting thing for informing about steem stuff.

Having everything in one place is very handy indeed!

I'm missing @pennsif's news feed. His last one was almost a month ago https://steempeak.com/steem/@pennsif/the-steem-news-6-may-2019

Me too 👍

I know for a fact that I'm not up to date on everything going on with the steem blockchain and Dapps around it. For what I do know though, I generally learn from other users on the platform. I'll go to certain Dapp steemit accounts and read some of their updates or purpose info as well.

Thanks for letting me know!

There are so many apps on steem and I have only used about 10 of them so far.
Like many commenters here I curate. I do it manually every day through this account and then read everything I have curated that pertains to developments.

It is impossible to keep up with everything but I do keep an eye on your account because you seem to be on top of most things.

How could they not know about Appics?

Quite easily I assume. There is so much going on here and off the main apps.

Steemians are producing new apps all the time but their marketing (if they have any) isn't cutting through the noise?

Thanks for letting me know. I'm trying to come up with ways to make the marketing better. So much good stuff on Steem.

A lot of people do not know what is going on. I've been thinking of setting up a newsletter to summarize such things. Do you think that would do well?

If you can find me on discord. It is a great idea, maybe I can help out!

Hey! hey! I have my own discord feel free to jump in! Yes, I'd need some help for sure :)

Yeah, I think that would help. Or maybe a weekly or monthly recap about the best developments either in text or video.

I always find myself being astonished by the same thing and then it makes me a bit sad because I realise that they aren't actively reading posts and digging in

Just read @exyle's blog and you're good to go!

Lol, it is a good shortcut!

haha :) thanks.

I miss the daily posts from @pennsif regarding all the going-ons here in STEEM. I'm not sure if he plans on continuing that

I agree! I was thinking the same but realized that it has been a while since I last saw one of those posts! Definitely a great go to source for Steem news.

I think most of people including me are not fully aware about what kind of development is going on with STEEM. I love STEEM but i have my job, my family responsibility so i think i am not able to give more time here.

I think most of people is like me here. So if you can help us something path or like that so we can be updated what is going on with STEEM.

I'm only on steem for approximately 20 minutes a day ... I get a lot of my updates from you.

Based on your input, I try to follow certain folks who I believe will provide useful information.

Here's an interesting thought. If you were to come up with a list of 25 userids that you believe would cover the majority of the changes on the platform, who would they be?

Of course, the best thing to do then is add those ID's to the steemify app.

If the Steem developer would simply read your blog daily he'd know what Appics is. Works for me......shame on him! :)

I'm trying to keep up with other crypto projects as well, I can tell you sometimes it gets overwhelming. For me that is a rock solid sign that crypto is here to stay for a long long time.

It is overwhelming. Just staying up to date about Steem is about a day job.

Just reading your posts 😂🤣😂🤣 and some developers under the hotbutton. 😋

You, my own digest I curate each day from my feeds and new tab, stuff I hear in discords, steemhunt etc ;)

My go to place to stay up to date on Steem is simply following your blog @exyle! I’ve said it before, your blog is worth gold when it comes to sharing Steem related news! Keep that up!

Thank you for saying that man!

YOU are one of the people that help me stay up to date @exyle.

I am also starting to miss @pennsif's previous updates about Steem.

By following you closely

I always follow your blog, [@theycallmedan](https://steemit.com/@theycallmedan), [@steemitblog](https://steemit.com/@steemitblog), @andrarchy for always update about Steem

Steemit is not good for finding people. I just found some guy whos been here longer than me and has a decent steem hodling and makes decent comments. We need communities, other way it is realy hard to know whats going on.

Communities will go a long way. The forums TokenBB is developing are helping the SM community loads already. I hope to see more of that.

I follow a couple of people like you who make things convenient for me and do the hard part which is research. And then it's up to me to read those articles and be the "expert" among my friends. :P

It is almost impossible to stay update with me as life outside and the daily routine of earning a living is just hectic.

However I have some friends which I follow whom I consider have got an ear to the ground, I visit @taskmaster4450's blog daily to read up what his got, that way I stay up to date another friend is @chesatochi he shares the latest every now and then.

How do you stay up to date about everything Steem?

I follow @exyle!

Well I follow you and a couple of other channels the manage to keep up with all those changes. I do find it hard to keep up with all the stuff going on around here. I am part of the @SteemSavvy community which has great resources for learning how to do things on STEEM, but still have a hard time reading all the posts of people I follow.

Been on here over a year and I still barely know how it works

I follow some devs and people like you bro who are in the know about what's going on. I literally scan my feed daily to see news of as much as a I can. I also scroll through trending and hot to see what's the latest.

I love that you always share your thoughts about everything and have amazing insight.

I have a bunch of people that I look at most days to try and stay informed. I've been a bit lax lately though, it does take time to wade through lots of posts. I'm amazed how much more is going on and its getting harder to know about all of it.

I guess just by following everyone who's building something. I'm also on like every discord associated with Steem and I'm an addict so I'm always in one of these places.

But to your point, I would say I think there are a LOT more than most imagine that are here everyday, but have no idea what's going on with developments, applications, or politics.

So much stuff happening that sometimes is difficult to keep up with everything

Me I think positive that steem can change my life

Posted using Partiko Android

Lately, I've found it harder to keep up to date, at least 90%.

I usually read and watch posts within Steemit from a variety of content creators that I´ve been following for a long time, and developed a really nice network that allows me to choose what is interesting for me, and at the same time keep me updated with what's happening around here.

Thank you so much for participating in the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!

Steemify app looks interesting. Loading the app on my phone.

I used to spend lots of time curating but now time is so little that it is impossible to keep up...

i follow the people who love steem from the word go

I think there are a lot of different dapps that people don't know about. It took me forever to learn about dpoll. I think someone should make a list that explains all of them and what they do. Just a quick cheat sheet chart would be awesome. There are a ton of people that don't know anything about Tasteem, Dlike, etc.
