It's been almost a week since I got my new glasses and my world has changed completely.
So many things have become easier.
From reading the small print in a folder or my smartphone to reading the number on top of a parking machine at the end of a street.
That last one saves a lot of walking I can tell you that!
I can also see more depth and colors look ‘brighter’.
My new optician is a genius and I will tell her that tomorrow when I call her.
The one thing I am still questioning from time to time is my own reality.
When I look at objects trough my glasses they do become much smaller but that weird 'bending' effect I was experiencing has disappeared.
It makes me question what things 'really' look like and if we all see the world a little different.
Not that I really care to much. I prefer seeing things sharp in the end.
But according to Bianca what I am seeing now is real ;)
What I'm also questioning is my own cheapness.
I can't believe I did it again in true Dutch fashion. (It's hammered in somehow).
Why did I choose to go to a regular store and make myself suffer for almost 2 years to save (in the end) 125 euro.
125 euro to see sharp and no headache anymore! It's a steal.
O well. Another lesson learned.
I'm sure I will have many more in my life.

That's a great question. There are so many people buying cheap low quality stuff, it's a shame. They keep breaking this and keep buying it over and over again. It's better and in the end cheaper to buy high quality products.

actually from the look of things, right from the onset when the woman prescribe the best and matched lenses for you, I remembered you didn't believe it at first until now when you are alreadty with the glasses, she said you actually have a good 👀 compare to other people it is just that you always get the wrong lenses. I can't see for shit without them these days. Just had mine upgraded, and there as thick as the bottom of two coke bottles. But its like seeing in HD again. Or maybe they make 4k eye balls. To be honest, it wasn’t as easy or painless as they described. It felt like I had soap in my eyes for 5 hours after the procedure but waking up and being able to see and never needing corrective lenses again made it SO worth it.

Chep is not always a good thing. I look for the best value and the best quality to get the bang for my buck. Why pay for something cheap and have to replace it every year when I can pay a little more for quality that will last ten times as long and actually cost less in the long run because I don't need to take the time and energy to replace it as often.

Your vision is constantly changing. If you don't exercise it like any other muscle it gets weaker. Unfortunately that's what HAPPENDS to most people.
I have been doing eye exercises as often as possible and my vision has gotten better. I am wearing my older glasses now with no problem.

I am changed in buying stuff years ago.
I never buy “pikkepoelie zooi” (junk stuff) again.
I only want to buy high end stuff.
If I can’t afford it, I wait and safe money till I can.
I learned that if I buy other stuff, surrogate for example, I am going to buy later on the goods I really want.
So at the end it’s even more expensive.
And I know you feel and did the same way with your green egg.

Do you have problems with being far sighted or near sighted? Have you thought about lasik? Short procedure done as outpatient. No more glasses.
