Step by step
Most rhinestone motifs are glued on a transparent Poleyester backing. On the back side there is a special hotmelt adhesive. Thanks to this special adhesive, the rhinestone motifs adhere to many textiles. Rhinestone beads, decorative rivets, hotfixes, rivets or hotfix rhinestones can already be ordered cheaply online on the Internet. But also craft shops offer these handicraft accessories. Strass motifs for ironing can already be bought in supermarkets. Now to the explanation how rhinestone motifs are ironed on. The garments should be washed with fabric softener before the design is ironed on the fabric. The iron should be preheated to 170 degrees Celsius. Now the motif should be carefully cut out. Now the white foil should be removed and any stones that have slipped into the correct position. Afterwards, baking paper should be placed under the clothes if the hotmelt adhesive could smear. Now the motif is placed with the stones down on the desired clothing and place and should now be pressed lightly on. The ironing cloth should now be placed on the motif to protect the clothes. The desired spot can now be ironed for about 30 seconds. Now the clothes should be turned to the left. Place the ironing cloth over it again and heat it for about 60 seconds. Important: The film must not be removed before cooling. Allow the area to cool down and slowly peel off the film. If some rhinestones, which should not happen, come off the first time you wash them, they can simply be glued on again.
