As I was walking through my hometown the other day, I took a few pictures of old and rusty facades.
Main facades in the city center are in a very poor condition for many years.
The project in which local authorities have promised that facade will be fixed, has again, as many times before, stuck somewhere.
The project was also part of the action plan to struggle against the vandal destruction of the facade by performing protective coating and installing surveillance cameras. None of this happened.
It is not just that these buildings look old and neglected, they are dangerous as well.
Cars have been hit, but fortunately, no humans have been hurt so far.
Of course there are some bright examples but unfortunately, there are not enough.
Zagreb is a typical Middle Europe city, the buildings in the center are old but beautiful and with a little investment, they can look splendid. Lately, Zagreb has experienced tourism boom. It is really the last moment to do something about this shabby facades so we can say that the residential buildings in the center of Zagreb will finally begin their renovation.
And hopefully, every building in Zagreb will look like these buildings at my favorite Park Zrinjevac...
Zagreb is beautiful
