The ironic difference between Steemit and Facebook is that here we are transparent and yet enjoy complete privacy. Everything we voluntarily do here is recorded in the blockchain and our wallets and transfers are transparent and visible. And yet, there's no privacy violation here. Nobody collects data on you to sell to others or to use for advertising. It's the exact opposite of how Facebook is structured and I love that.

yeah, i've thought of the ironic aspects, too. It's the first place where everyone can see everyone's bank account. This is truly weird. And we can use pseudonyms, but yet we can see each other's money. It's like a complete reversal of Facebook, and the more time you spend in here, the more outdated Facebook feels.
