Facebook is also making a change to forget that it has seriously deteriorated in the past

Facebook wants to forget and forgive the whole problem with fake news by opening a new service for which it is ready to pay millions of dollars.

The social network wants to bring big press releases to the platform and hopes to license and be able to publish news and other articles. This deal would bring millions of dollars to each publisher. So, Facebook is ready to offer $ 3 million a year to some publications, and instead they would receive republishing rights.

Zuckerberg's company is in talks with ABC News, Bloomberg, Dow Jones (The Wall Street Journal's parent company) and The Washington Post. According to current information, Facebook wants to introduce these news articles in a special section dedicated to platform news. This new category would be implemented sometime this fall.

How you can read news directly on Facebook
Publications would have control over what is published on Facebook and can decide whether to publish only a description of the article and then send readers to the site or publish a larger part of the story. The contracts would be for three years, in some cases.

The representatives of the social network confirmed that they are working on a news section and that it will be launched in the fall. This would be another change in the dynamics between publishers and Facebook and an attempt by Zuckerberg's company to stop the fake news phenomenon. If the real news is within the reach of the users, in a dedicated section, perhaps they will be better informed about what is happening in their country or in the world.

We'll see if the publications will agree with these terms (it seems a very friendly offer from Facebook), if users still trust the news that appear on the platform and if the social network will handle the whole situation well.

So, instead of giving a platform for supposed fake news created by spammers to make money they're going to give the mainstream media a whole platform to promote their own fake news, sensationalism and propaganda? People should just ramp up on dropping Facebook and deleting their accounts.
