There are TONS of growth hacks to build a FB group on autopilot without paying for ads.
My group is over 17k members (growing 300ish / day) and guess how much I spent to advertise it total?
Ten bucks. Worst investment ever, I got 10 new members!
So what are some critical pieces of organic FB group growth?
1. Your group name!
The first 3 words in your group name have to be keyword heavy. Think of your ideal member, and if they would immediately identify with your title or not. When you show up in "suggested groups" tabs, you want them to click join ASAP.
Stop using your name / your brand name / or some obscure title that no one understands. Use simple, easily recognizable keywords and this will skyrocket your organic growth like it did for JR Rivas. (400 > 2,600+ in about a month after a name change and some other tweaks to the group).
All about the backlinks!
Growing a FB group is like filling up a swimming pool with a water hose. It takes a really long time to do - but there's good news, you can always add more water hoses and turn up the volume to get people coming in on autopilot.
Update links on your website, IG bio, Twitter (if anyone still uses twitter?), email footers, thank you pages, media appearances, and cover / featured photo on your profile.
Backlinks on your online presence bring highly targeted members who engage, bring value, and find value in what you do. This is your gold mine for finding great members. The more engagement you get, the more growth you get.
FB rewards people who have active communities because it means their users are spending more time enjoying the platform and consuming content (and ADS!).
Support your members, give them what they want, get activity daily, and your group growth will skyrocket. A good way to do this is livestreaming (bonus points in the FB algo), having consistent themes, and really getting to know your group members and helping them out. They'll stick around.
Repeat after me, "I will not pay Zuckerberg to grow my group, I will leverage the newsfeed algorithm instead and get thousands of members on autopilot!"
This stuff isn't rocket science - you just have to know how to play the game and build a FB group for the long run.
One more thing... FB groups are NOT a marketing / sales channel! They are all about branding and community.
The good thing is... FB groups are a perfect place to start the conversation - then you can take your discussion / marketing messages off platform to change up the sales environment.
No one goes to FB groups to buy stuff - but they do go to learn and find new resources.
Once they do, you can bring them up your value ladder and get them into other sales / marketing channels like funnels, emails, retargeting ads, webinars, all that other good stuff.
Learn how people consume on FB - then you'll learn how to produce exactly what they want and bring them to the next level.
