Last time I watched a sports parade, or the last time I watched a segment about CEOs businessmen; we're celebrated all the time dude :-)
You know this is still biased. example from the past
and plenty from the present. You see how you are being biased?

OK, I get this distinction; however sometimes people are marginalised because they are from a particular group, so what's wrong with focusing on that?
If people with ginger hair are being beaten up in your area just because they have ginger hair. Does it then make sense to say let's focus on people with hair in general is kinda missing the point.
People will always get marginalised in respect to one aspect of their nature. That's the deal with being human.
I don't see your point here; the fact is it has happened, who cares why?
Because it tells you a lot about how a "right" comes to be.
Ugly and short men, well I'm not sure about that, show me proof that people are inciting violence against the ugly and the short because of their features or physical stature and then we can talk about that.
I could show you women abusing men. Again you are not making any point. This is not about physical violence. People are discriminated every day because we are all different and we all have preferences. it comes by default. fat women will always be discriminated against women who look sexy. What do you suggest? Equality in dating? :)
again. it is nonsensical. even in your own life. you do discriminate against bad books or bad movies. what? we are going to have an equality reading or viewing so that the creators won't feel bad?
No I haven't, the reason being is one, it's trivial, two zits can clear up, three nobody is inciting violence against, or trying to stop people with zits getting jobs.
bullshit. this woman and many others will be discriminated because there are better alternatives in regards to look when lets say they go work for a beauty parlor. It is what it is. again. there are studies that show that tall men have it better than short people. There is no law, no movement against that because we all like the tall people instead of the short. We can sit here and romanticize equality but we all have preferences.
Can you honestly not tell the difference between somebody getting teased about their zits and somebody going their whole life being treated like a second class citizen because of their sex?
again. you are being over-dramatic. Much like someone can be marginalised SOMETIMES for being a woman they can be marginalised for having zits. Pay attention how you are biased towards women..claiming that they somehow suffer more than other arbitrary groups. This is false.
Yes I get your point that they are people first and women second, however people don't discriminate because they're people, it's because they're black, white, female, poor, whatever.
some people are born less intelligent..don't do well at school..get shitty jobs...same with being bold...same with being fat. Not all women are discriminated. not all bold people are discriminated..not all stupid people are discriminated.
again. your entire argument fails on the premise of bias.
I think a really fundamental pitfall in your observation and opinions on whether or not we need to rectify the historical marginalization of women ,@kyriacos, is (and I'm assuming this, correct me if I'm wrong) that you're not a woman. You can't assume to understand the contemporary condition in which women "may or may not be" treated as second-class citizens because its systemic and if my assumption that you are a man is correct, and I don't look like a total dangus here, you wouldn't really be exposed or have any experience with what you're talking about. Just a third-party observation, and a bit of a terse one at that if I'm being honest.
Maybe consider that you might be being unempathetic here.

That's the beauty of opinion, we can both have one; what you call bias, I call stating an objective difference.
I'll tell that to the women who in Saudi who have been raped and then accused of adultery; penalty, stoning. I'm sure they'll see that the plight of someone with zits, without the lens of bias, is exactly the same as theirs.
