The former executive director of Facebook has spoken of the bad influence of this social network in the world's society.
According to foreign media, Telegraph reports, is Chamath Palihapitiya, who joined Facebook in 2007.
As stated further, he has said he feels guilty of great misgivings because he has helped such a company to grow.
"I think we created the tools that 'ruined' the way society works," said Palihapitiya, advising people to refrain from social networks.
His criticisms were not just directed towards Facebook but also to the entire ecosystem online.
"Because of the 'Like', but also the other tools we have created, there is no cooperation, civil discourse and more disinformation. This is not an American problem, it's a global problem. "
As an example of bad influence in society, he has mentioned an incident in India where from fake kidnapping messages took place until the lynching of seven innocent people.
He stresses that he tries to use Facebook as little as possible, adding that such a thing is not allowed for his children.
