Is the Facebook research APPLAUSE program trusted? They are paying $5 per month in order to keep their app in Mobile ?

I tried it but I don't know why i didn't feel like it should be tried. You all private activities done on your mobile is exposed to them. Who knows what can be done with that? They monitor your network which i didn't feel safe.
