In a NY Times investigation, it is revealed that Facebook shared the data of up to 400 million people with some of the largest technology companies in the world. According to the report, up to 150 of them received open access to the information Facebook collected.

Recipients include Microshoft, Spotify, and Netflix to just name a few. Since the United States has no data privacy laws, Facebook is free to do what it wants with the data.
