Greetings and Welcome Fellow Steemians

I'm a new user to the Steemit community with the self appointed challenge to improve our global understanding of the world in its current state, free of political, media, religious and other bias influences. This is the basis on which Fact-tious is founded. Have you ever been watching the news, reading an article or seen something on social media and thought what a load of kaka/Horseapples/Newspeak is this! Without community participation in Fact-tious our world may continue to be regularly filled with the bullsh.... JARGON we are forced to absorb on a daily basis.

To acheive this, myself and the Fact-tious team will be scouring through the Steemit library educating ourselves on this platform to best provide you all with the most comprehensive and effective posts in this genre.

What exactly is Fact-tious and how does it work?

Fact-tious focusses on providing information based on logical scientific reasoning. The consequence of which gives no bias to any side of an arguement rather than establishing the most correct result through accurate evidence.
This may mean several arguements having equally valid responses, all of which will be accepted based on the evidence given.

As we are just starting off, Fact-tious will provide one 'fact', 'issue' or 'myth' every week that will presented to the people in a "Poll" type format. At the end of the week the most popular answers will be announced and kept in our Fact-tious Encyclopedia.

The winning result will be decided in regards to 3 categories: popularity, evidence and most convincing arguement based on evidence, as we understand some issue do not have enough evidence out there or are ethical issues and cant always be resolved by an equation.

What is your role?

Fact-tious, much like crypto-currencies, are only made valuable and worthwhile because of the people backing them. This is where you and the community as a whole comes in. Your opinions, votes and evidence provided not only lets your voice be heard but allows everyone to partake in something bigger and maybe even learn something.
