Living in faith: For they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day

Paul's second missionary trip is a proof of how the Kingdom of Heaven works in the world, there are people who receive the word with joy and others with distrust. In some cities like Thessalonica, the preaching of the word of God is a reason of tumults and agitation. Some non-believers accuse Paul and Silas: "These men who have caused trouble all over the world have now come here, and Jason has welcomed them into his house. They are all defying Caesar's decrees, saying that there is another king, one called Jesus," Acts 17:6-7.
The disciples leave Thessalonica and enter the city of Berea, there, people with a well-predisposed heart receive with fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, stability) the teachings of Paul and Silas:
"As soon as it was night the believers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue. Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men." Acts 17:10-12.

The preaching of the Kingdom of God by the apostle Paul teaches us that the word of God is like the seed, and people are like the earth. Not everyone has a prepared heart to receive the faith. The parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-23 and Mark 4:1-20) is constantly present in the teaching of the Christian faith.
Paul is the example of the Christian missionary, and since all believers in Jesus have the obligation to expand the Kingdom of God, the gospel is like the mustard seed, which is the smallest of seeds until it grows and transforms into a tree that shelters the birds.
