The Lord is faithful: Being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Romans 4:21

By the theological virtue of faith we are redeemed from the slavery of sin, explains the apostle Paul: "Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin", John 8:34.
We are no longer justified, that is, declared righteous or complete by the practice of the law of Moses, but by a trusting surrender to the love of Jesus: "Love your neighbor as yourself", Mark 12:31. The law of Moses is impossible to fulfill in its entirety, that is why Paul tells us about the curse of the Law: "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light", Matthew 11:30.
By faith and the gift of conversion, we leave the passions that enslave us to money and other apparent goods, and we enter into that freedom of the spirit that means living the spiritual gifts inherited from God: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.", Matthew 5:48.

The apostle Paul uses the example of Abraham as an example of the virtue of faith:
"Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, ´So shall your offspring be.´ Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why ´it was credited to him as righteousness.´ The words ´it was credited to him´were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.", Romans 4:18-24.
God is faithful and all believers in Jesus by faith, are heirs of a new promise, no longer based on the inheritance of a promised land like Abraham, but on the inheritance of a new life in God, eternal life: "This is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God", John 17:3.
