Scam Alert: Fake MetaMask application on Google Play is playing Ethereum

Scam Alert: The fake MetaMask application on Google Play is stealing users' Ethereums. The outbreak of fake crypto-money applications continues to spread effortlessly in the Play Store. Also, Google seems to be doing nothing about it.
This fake MetaMask application is the fourth fake app on Google Play

Security researcher Lukas Stafanko found another phishing application on the Google Play Store. This time, it's a copy of MetaMask, a popular Ethereum dApp scanner. Last week Google Play was reported to have hosted fake apps about crypto money in a disturbing amount.

This  fake MetaMask application is the fourth fake app on Google Play after  at least two fake MyEtherWallets and a fake Poloniex app. It is not known whether many users are hurt by previous fraud cases.

Scam App Appears Removed or Removed from Play Store

Reviews on the Play Store's MetaMask show that at least a few users are caught in this deception. A user, "This is the owner of the application thief. He stole all my Ethereum. Please block this application's owner. This is a fake application. " Another user, "Spam application! I lost $ 2,700. "

It's noteworthy that MetaMask does not have any applications on the Google Play Store. It only exists as a web browser extension for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Opera. As of the writing date, it appears that the app has been deleted or removed from the Play Store.
