Beauty products are meant to beautify your skin and that's exactly the purpose of women when purchasing those products. It really sucks when you apply the makeup on your face and have to go through serious consequences such as damage to your skin. Trust me, you'll want to kill the manufacturer (and well, they may deserve some punishment for using junky chemicals in their products).

Wise people are those who learn from mistakes of others and prevention is better than cure. Would you want to test all the products by applying on your face to verify whether or not the product is original? I believe you're much better than that because you reading this article is a sign that you are one of the wise people who actually learn from mistakes and experiences of others.

I don't think that there is any need to mention the example cases. I mean, just Google "consequences of fake makeup" and see the images of people by yourself. Counterfeit products may be available at the store from where you buy your beauty products every week. It's common in Pakistan that they use the name of reputable brands and falsely attribute the counterfeit products to them, to sell their junk. You wouldn't like to be one of the victims of such snakes, right? That's exactly why I'm writing this article for you. I'll give you some tips that you can use to spot the fake makeup.

1 - Be cautious with the cheap products:

It's common that most people love to save money and therefore, they try to choose one of the cheap products but hey, don't you know that you could have to pay a much bigger price of beauty later on? Don't get me wrong, I encourage you to do savings but not at the expense of your beautiful face!

When the product attributed to the reputable brand is available at cheap prices than usual, then it's alarming. I know, some brands put their products on sale with discounts but there is still a way to confirm whether or not it's a discount or a counterfeit product. Fake products are usually available at cheap rates (usually much cheaper than the discount by the original company). Never buy cheap products immediately just after looking the brand name, make sure that the discounts are real.

2 -Only purchase from reputable shops:

It may be difficult to differentiate whether it's a discount by the original company or a counterfeit product that is falsely attributed to that company. So, consider it the continuation of my first tip. It is good to buy your beauty products from reputable stores that are known for their honesty or customer satisfaction.

Though the chances of seeing the counterfeit products even in reputable stores still exist, but much lower than buying from newly opened stores. Also, if you want to buy the product from a different company, then make sure to ask the experience of its users otherwise you might be risking your skin for the sake of savings.

3 - Confirm directly from the company:

I know, it can be really difficult to spot the fake ones. Contacting the company is one of the best options that you can use to find out whether the products are original or not. The reason why I didn't include this option as my first entry is that it can be a headache to call the company every time you buy the product. I believe that shopping from big malls is much easier and safer but chances of fake products being presented still exist, though quite less.

I'd say, if the discount being offered at the product look suspicious to you, then contact the company and ask whether the discount is offered officially by them or not. If you're buying the new products that you've never tried before, then make sure to search the review of those products on YouTube. I'd personally suggest you contact the beauticians because they know better for sure.
