The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boat lift in central Scotland, which is mainly copulative the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. It is named by the towns name where it situated. Also Falkirk Wheel reconnects the two canals for the first time since the 1930s. It inaugurated in 2002 as part of the Millennium Link project. Queen Elizabeth II opened the Falkirk Wheel as part of her Golden Jubilee celebrations On 24 May 2002.
