Some famous people seem to deserve it.
Jordan Peterson, for instance, has some solid ideas, backed up with a wealth of knowledge.
Tucker Carlson has less knowledge, or sense perhaps, but uses words well, and can be insightful.
On the other hand, those 15 minutes of fame stretch out forever for many thick people, who know little, think less, and lack much genuine talent. I am trying to see if Sean Hannity has any virtue or talent.
Someone claims Taylor Swift has none of the latter. I wouldn't know, and am not inclined to find out.
And in politics, scum continues to rise to the top. Yet some politicians have real smarts, true accomplishments, and on rare occasions, even principles.
Is it just random? Is there a cabal determining "the next big talking / singing head?" Or as Forrest Gump concluded, "I think maybe both things are going on at once?"
