Christian family: Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, has denied the faith. 1 Timothy 5:8

The first epistle to Timothy is attributed to Paul and in it the apostle gives some recommendations to his disciple Timothy about what are the spiritual obligations of those who lead the community towards the different members of the community. We can judge a society by how that society treats the weakest and most unprotected, the sick, the elderly, the widows, and the orphans. We see recommendations on this issue already in the book of Deuteronomy: "He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing" Deuteronomy 10:18.
Every society has internal enemies: the exacerbation of passions, the intense selfishness, and false teachings (heresies); the spiritual leadership must be attentive to these problems, that is why Paul mentions in his epistle especially the natural leaders in the early Church: "The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching" 1 Timothy 5:17.
Paul in his teachings is always clear, the model of life for the Christian family or the Christian society is the communion, the ethical order of the society, as explained in practical terms in the book of acts of the apostles: "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had" Acts 4:32.
The adult Christian has the obligation to provide for his family and loved ones, in imitation of Christ ("Follow God's example" Ephesians 5:1): "Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever" 1 Timothy 5:8.
Finally, Paul reminds us that in the kingdom of God those who rule must be the first to give the example: "I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality" 1 Timothy 5:21.
