Yesterday we went up to Bentonville to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
This place was awesome! It was a perfect family place to take Maverick and have us some fun.
Right out front they had this awesome chrome tree without any leaves on display. Which makes me wonder what would happen if lighting struck this tree HA HA. Probably nothing! Maybe melt it some.
In the main lobby they have this big giant inflatable eyeball on display. It kind of reminded me of a hot air balloon.
Of course being the Crystal Bridges Museum they had to have a nice cluster of crystals on display. And what a HUGE crystal this thing is!!! This thing was badass! You could feel the energy flowing off of it. One fun fact Arkansas is famous for are it's crystal mines. This big giant cluster was found down in the Mt. Ida area of the state. So if you ever come to Arkansas be sure to put crystal mining on your list. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the crystals on sale through out the entire country were found in Arkansas.
Right next to the giant crystal is this pond with these big floating glass balls. The bridge in the background there is the crystal bridge. These balls must be anchored down with something. Like a chain and a shackle anchored to the bottom of the pond to keep them afloat where they are so they don't move. Or else I'm sure all of these balls would be huddled together in one corner of the pond instead of spread out evenly like this.
Maverick on the trail. He was having fun even though he is still too young to remember this place. We plan on coming back when he gets a little bigger.
We came to these tall blue spiky things on display under this bridge. I'm not sure what they are suppose to be.
And now for the sculpture that says it all, LOVE!!!
I found this piece of artwork interesting because this Museum was in fact an unconstitutional gun free zone. Yet this piece of artwork depicts a cowboy shooting a gun while riding a bucking bronco. Even though it is art it is still a gun in a gun free zone symbolizing our gun culture HA HA. Hypocrisy at it's finest. It is kind of hard to tell but yes that is a gun in his hand.
They had one of these fountain sections shooting up strings of water so the kids could play in. Amazingly enough, as hot of a day as it was yesterday not one child was playing in the water! We didn't know they would have something like this here or else we would of remembered to bring Mavericks swimming shorts or better yet a little swimmers diaper. We know this now for next time HA HA.
Being such a hot day it was perfect timing for some ice cream! Not far from that water fountain area was an ice cream truck that actually served vegan ice cream. So we gave Maverick some and he loved it! I mean look at that face HA HA. Of course he made a mess and it started dripping down his chin.
After we had ice cream we found this heart shaped meadow filled with New England Aster flowers that had this cool heart sculpture in the middle.
I saved this lovely piece of artwork for last because of how dark and creepy it is. Hmm, now where have I seen this big ugly spider thing before??? Oh yeah! There is one in Rockefeller Center New York, and one in the Netherlands right outside the Hague. Is this perhaps a symbol the elite use for their Satanic rituals? As dark and creepy as this thing is it could represent eating people or worse, children! This big ugly sick spider sculpture is known as the Maman. Even its name gives me the creeps. I'm even more creeped out knowing that there is one of these things here in Arkansas now. Considering this museum is an unconstitutional gun free zone it makes this place an easy target to commit violent Satanic acts.
All in all we had a fun family day exploring this place. I look forward to coming back here with Maverick again in the future when he gets bigger. Thanks for coming along with us!

Looks like an interesting place to visit. Liked it all...Except the spider. That creeped me out. Some of ours down here (Australia) are almost that big and I don't like any of them! 🤣

There's an occult significance to this spider. Which is why I saved it for last. I couldn't believe they had one of these here. I'm creeped out knowing one exists here in Arkansas now. I thought the only two that existed were outside the Hague and Rockefeller Center.

All spiders freak me out. And snakes. Surprising since I've lived in Australia all my life. Land of bitey things.
