Another Cold Morning, With Colds

We woke up with sore throats and stuffy noses - not our favorite way to camp, but what else can we do?

Gold Panning

One of our favorite activities on the homestead is panning for gold. Zac purchases some "pay dirt" online and sets up a gold-panning station for people to search for gold. It's usually only a tiny amount, but the thrill is in the find!

Look carefully... there's a tiny gold nugget in there!

Black Smith

On of the pavilions set up this year was for the blacksmith. I didn't spend much time here, but it was fascinating watching others heat up metal and smash them into useful shapes.

Mid-day Naps to Fight a Cold

The day was warming up, but our children were still not feeling well. Probably not the most comfortable way to take a nap, but it works for now.

Lights on in the Pavilion for Study

The generator was working this night, so we had lights in the pavilion. We had some good bible study discussions, followed with some games.

What a shiny floor!

We came back and found a huge fire at the main camp, unfortunately the teens decided to try to melt glass, so they used up several days worth of wood.

The next day, they were in charge of chopping wood for the rest of the week.

Another Fun Day on the Homestead

These days go by quickly, it's hard to believe the festival is over half over! The drippy little ones require a lot of attention, but it's still a pleasure and an honor to be a part of God-fearing families celebrating these special days. Bless the Most High!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

When a leftist rag rips apart a book, you KNOW it's good.

The Tuttle Twins series is among the most wretchedly contrived, grotesquely unethically indoctrinating, cliché-ridden heaps of steaming garbage I’ve ever had the misfortune to read. Written to bring young people into one of the most disgraceful political tendencies in the world before they have the critical thinking skills to recognize it, it is a hideous fraud and an ugly twisted farce.
