We are approaching the middle of the Festival!
These days go by quickly. After a restful Sabbath, we get the campsite in order and prepare for the next four more days of feasting and celebrating.
What are we celebrating? Our release from spiritual EGYPT!
And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year, a statute for ever in your generations. Ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in SUKKOT: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in SUKKOT, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God. Leviticus 23:41-43
We are celebrating our release from Spiritual Egypt, taking with us our families, livestock and the plunder of the Egyptians. And what is our first stop? SUKKOT! What are we going to do at SUKKOT? PARTY!!!
And [Pharaoh] called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, [and] get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also. And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We [be] all dead [men]. And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders. And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them [such things as they required]. And they spoiled the Egyptians. And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to SUKKOT. Exodus 12:31-37
We read this every spring and associate it with the Passover, but when the fall months come and we celebrate in "booths", we remind our generations of WHO made the sons of Israel dwell in SUKKOT - It is the Most High God, Creator of the Universe. He brought the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt to dwell in SUKKOT!
Little Peppers Visit
As we're getting the day ready, we entertain some visitors to our morning campfire.
We've been collecting "daddy longlegs" around the camp.
Trying on the Tie Die Shirts
The tie die shirts were ready to try on and they looks so colorful!
Afternoon Group Photos and Wood Chopping
After we heard a presentation from a woman who visited the REAL Mount Sinai, we all gathered together for a group photo.
We returned to camp and chopped up some wood for more campfires that evening. Our hatchet isn't the right tool for splitting logs, but we tried anyway.
Lauren made an impressive attempt!
I figured out later, the best use of a hatchet is to get wood shavings for kindling. It was fun slicing off little fire candies.
A Sukkot Snapshot
Throughout the day, the center field was used for games, conversation, campfires, etc. So much activity as campers maintain their sites and visit with fellow Sukkoters.
We were looking for more wood for our campfire and observed the campers from the woods. Interesting perspective.
Hotdogs Over an Open Flame
We roast hot dogs for dinner, now that we have the firewood to get it going.
It was another fine day on the Homestead, we enjoyed this time together as a family!
Bless the Most High!
Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin
We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.
No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.
The TUTTLE TWINS made the publication "Current Affair" Check out the books here.
When a leftist rag rips apart a book, you KNOW it's good.
The Tuttle Twins series is among the most wretchedly contrived, grotesquely unethically indoctrinating, cliché-ridden heaps of steaming garbage I’ve ever had the misfortune to read. Written to bring young people into one of the most disgraceful political tendencies in the world before they have the critical thinking skills to recognize it, it is a hideous fraud and an ugly twisted farce.
