It's a Surprisingly Warm Day for Michigan in October
We figured this great weather would only last so long, there are storms passing around us and some rain, but the weather is warm and the winds are gusting. Perfect day for flying a kite!
We live near the lake and it's a short drive to the park, so we packed a lunch and drove everyone out to the park for some KITE FLYING!
Wind Surfers on the Lake Today
We're right next to Lake Saint Clair, and some wind surfers are taking advantage of the warm weather and breeze.
The Silver Lining
We witnesses a very interesting phenomenon, as the clouds pass by and the sun shines on the water, it causes this bright silver line in the water!
Rain and Shelter
It began to sprinkle then rain pretty hard, so we found some dry shelter under a pavilion until it passed. It only rained for a few minutes, then the sun came out bright as ever!
Back to Kite Flying!
Once the sun came out, the wind became steady and we were able to keep our kites in the air. It was pretty exciting once it got up way high and stayed up there! The girls were able to hold on and watch them FLY!
What a Fun Few Hours
One of the greatest things about running our own business from home is the ability to make quick decisions when the opportunity presents itself - it's a blessing to live so close to the lake, so we can quickly go the the park for a few hours and get back in time for our responsibilities.
