Meet the family... for real

My newest relationship started officially in December. Now here we are halfway through March..

It’s going strong....it’s all good...it can mean only one thing... it’s time to meet the family!

I say family - I mean the other half’s sister and kids.

As you can see.. it went as well as it can do.

I guess Wednesday was always on my mind over the course of the last week and a bit. You know that day is approaching. You know you’ll be the subject of complete judgement and you know that after that initial meet, families will confir about you. Was he a ‘nice lad’ or ‘oh god, what has she done?’.

I passed. Phew!

Not only did the sister seem to approve and chat with me about everything, but my other half’s niece and nephew were jumping around with me. It’s all good. To be honest, the moment leading up to the arrival, I was nervous as can be... and then that all disappeared once I sat down.

My next ‘Trial’ is the other half’s father. I passed stage 1 - now for stage 2. I laugh to myself in a way because I know that in time, I’ll be subjecting her to the same ordeal with my own family. Hehe.

For now..I’m on my way to work while the other half goes back to bed - loving her week off. She was a little disgruntled when I announced to her that actually - next week, although I’m on Wednesday for either the day or half day - I’m off for the rest of the week. Gotta catch up with my 6.5 days off within 2 weeks haven’t I!?
