This year I had the pleasure of attending my 30 Year High School Reunion. I have never attended any of the past reunions before, though I almost attended my 10th.
I was living in Colorado and actually flew to California to attend the 10-year reunion, but I met up with all my friends beforehand to have dinner at a restaurant. During that time, we all realized that we were already having a reunion and there was no point in spending the money to attend the actual reunion.
I wasn't really planning on going to this, but my fiancée was really wanting to attend and insisted that I buy tickets, so I did.
We had such a great time. Even though I hardly knew anyone it was a great time and I got to connect or reconnect. None of the friends that I've kept up with were there, but some old ones that I lost contact with were.
It makes me wish that I went to my 10-year reunion instead of skipping out on it.
I was surprised to learn of a couple of the people that have passed on that I wasn't aware of.
They gave away several prizes... for the one who traveled the farthest, the one who still lives closest to the school, etc.
I won for having the youngest child since Dahlia is only 15 months old.
We won a big bottle of wine.
Hurray!
We took the opportunity to introduce several of the attendees to Steemit as well as Minds as an alternative to Facebook.
