¡Feliz día de San Patricio! - Happy St Patrick's day!

El 17 de Marzo es el día de San Patricio, se homenajea la muerte de San Patricio, el Santo Patrón de Irlanda. Aunque es una fiesta nacional en Irlanda, no solo se celebra allí, se celebra en muchísimos lugares del mundo vistiendo de verde.

Este año, a mi hijo y sus compañeros de colegio, les ha tocado homenajear a Irlanda en la semana cultural de Madrid, que empieza el lunes que viene. Para ello, les han encargado en el colegio un trabajo sobre Irlanda, cada niño puede hacer lo que quiera siempre que tenga relación con Irlanda.

Como no podía ser de otra forma, hemos empezado por la barba, de color naranja, como buen duende.

Preparamos el sombrero de nuestro amigo.

Ha llegado el momento de pegar los recortes - The time has come to paste the cuts

Para pegar los recortes de cartulina hemos usado una pistola de pegamento caliente, es lo que mejor funciona para pegar en el corcho.

To stick the cardboard cutouts we used a hot glue gun, it works best to stick on the cork.

Recortamos unas botas para el duende... Y las pegamos.

Seguimos preparando a nuestro amigo para la fiesta - We are preparing our friend for the party

Lo más complicado de todo fue hacer el arcoiris con sus siete colores, para ello, fui pegando todos encima en su orden y luego los recorté todos juntos. Mi hijo me ayudó mucho.

Una vez acabado todo, nos queda darle vida a nuestro amigo. Para ello hemos preparado este suelo de césped, para poder ponerle de pie.

Pues ya está acabado, nuestro duende en su jardín, con su trébol, su bandera de Irlanda y su arcoiris. ¡Que contento está!
