We heard this morning that my wife, Marianne, was awarded her PhD! It was five and a half years of hard work and, at times, immense pressure that led to this moment. We are very grateful that it is over and that she has accomplished such great success.
In the photo above you see my whole family. It was taken recently at a breakfast for volunteers hosted by Africa Food for Thought. The photo belongs to Africa Food for Thought but I have their permission to use it. You will also see it on my Facebook profile.
I am posting this because I have tried without pause to get my wife to join Steemit. Her response was that she would consider doing so only when her studies were completed. This is now the case and I'm hoping that she will join us in the near future. When this happens I would want her to receive a special welcome and I want to ask if you would be willing to help. It can be weeks from now, but if you comment on this post I will tag you later in a post referencing her first post. This will enable you to welcome the light of my life to the Steemit community.

Wow! Congrats to your wife. I must say having a PhD is not an easy thing. It's not a certificate for the weak. I would also love to have her on this great platform and tap a little of her knowledge.
