How The "Flying Egg Factory" Got Started :)

in family •  7 years ago

I've read a lot about Alzheimer's and dementia because I know of 2 people close to me who have their loved ones dealing with that. I do agree it is the most horrible disease. And the loved ones caring for that person have a huge emotional mountain to climb. Thank you for sharing your story. I know it's something you'll never forget. May the Lord continue to bring you guys peace and comfort.
Your husband is very handy to built such a nice looking coops for the chicken as his first one.

Thank you... yes he is very handy. His newer coops are larger buildings now :) I'll be posting more about the chickens as well as the Alzheimer's and dementia journey. In many ways, I think the care givers have it harder than the person with the illness. Thankfully, we were able to find a great care giver support group that was incredibly helpful in sorting through the range of emotions one goes through, as well as working through the day-to-day challenges. It was a blessing to be able to share and communicate with others going through the same thing, because when you're in the middle of it, life can become surreal and you begin to question your own sanity. I hope your two friends are able to join a similar support group... it was a tremendous help. God bless you and your family.
