Returned from my mother's funeral a few days ago. A few thoughts to ponder for those whose parents are still living. Plan the funeral ahead of time. Write a few memories for which they have been known for...we all have stories of family members. Parents aren't perfect and if it is possible to make peace do it before it is too late. Don't sweat the small stuff. Forgive and try to remember the good times. I understand there are some horrendous parental relationships that cannot be repaired. My mother was a wonderful person might not have appreciated her growing up I came to see how much she loved her family and laughter.
