It’s twelve hundred pages summing up a messed up system that’s resulting in death and poverty

What stands out is the passages dealing with Children being lost in the child services system.

Namely the aspect where it shows that Foster Homes are being paid more money than a family in distress would be able to access.

Ergo. Family of mother and child need money for rent and food, They go to the system for help and what they’re offered doesn’t meet basic needs; It’s several hundred bucks minus what she would make at her job. (They deduct the amount you earn through work from you cheque)

So now you’re on the radar of the system and not meeting basic needs is cause for removing your kid from the system.

Then they remove the kid and give the child to a foster family, who is now paid two thousand to house and feed that child.

So the question becomes... why not just give that two grand to the family in need so they can take care of the child’s basic needs.

Or don’t deduct money from the services cheque equal to her pay cheque, cause clearly the mother is trying to work. (This is an example, the report is full of multiple situations like this)

Again. It takes contacting your MP to suggest this, demand it. Make it happen.

You know. If the government is willing to listen before the next election.
