This happened Monday.
But reading the article explain what happened for the last couple of months before she killed herself and I can't help but feel they could've stepped in and helped her.
She was running away and racing to see her mother, so they would get her and bring her back.
So she would sneak calls and chat on the computer with the Mom.
So they threatened the Mom with the police to cut off contact with the Daughter.
Result. Daughter killed herself.
The warning signs were there as the kid was acting out and cutting herself as well, she was running away looking for family.
She was also selling nudes of herself to men online, which should get the foster family looked into; cause how come other people reported it and not them.
That said. The mother acknowledges that she has her own issues and was getting help; But where was the middle ground to help this kid. Supervised contact? Logged contact?
Something... anything where this kid would have known that she still had family and a place to seek hope.
The system they have in place clearly isn't working, and directly led to this.
