We are missing details in this story. Do you have sources for this story? Normally a school would not care about where someone is leaving to or not. A normal family would not care if the school didn't withdraw their child or not, the family would just leave. If there was a fund issue, the family would just stop paying. I can believe that this could happen, but we are missing details on why the school would initially think to ask the questions. Schools don't go out of their way, and do more work for themselves without reason.

No, there are no details missing. I provided the information I read from the source.
I had the same questions as to why but from the looks of it there was no apparent “reason”, at least not from the article.
Unfortunately situations like this won’t always have a “why” behind them. I believe this did happen and this family’s actions were questioned. It could be an honest mistake in that the school really thought they were following the law. But honestly the way things are heading I don’t put it past anyone or any institution to do something like this.
If I come across any more info on this I will be sure to update! Thank you for your comment.

Thanks, sorry I didn't see the original source as I thought it was another picture source.

No problem! Actually that’s why I appreciated your comment, I forgot to add the source this time. I added it in after your comment ;)
Thanks for the reminder ~
