Protect Children From Sexual Abuse

If you are not aware, protecting children against all kinds of abuse, particularly sexual abuse, is something we should care about. I've seen how dedicated and passionate @canadian-coconut @markwhittam and to all who are behind @familyprotection.

Child Sexual Abuse is the least spoken thing in a conservative society. It is spreading like an epidemic in different places. Also, there has been a consolidated work by a group of victims and survivors to raise awareness about it and the role of every parents and schools in preventing this matterthrough social media for almost a years.

Base on a study conducted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2007,

1 in every 2 children is subjected to sexual abuse in one or more forms, before they reach the age of 18.

There are no reliable statistics available on some agencies concerning child sexual abuses but there are enough evidences happens in every homes, schools and religious institutions.

Despite of fear and social stigma attributed to every victims and survivors, there are several cases and issues where victims/survivors get courage to speak up against their abusers and suspects. Moreover, in every single case, the delay and negligence in the proceedings or process has been unbearable and so very discouraging for all the victims.

For instance,

February 2016, a teacher was convicted for 10 years in prison after he was proven guilty of having raped a class 9 student.

This will only be possible if there is someone who has the courage to speak up and defend to show the truth because the truth will set us free. Because of the patience and perseverance by the 14-year-old girl and her widowed mother who kept fight for their rights for justice for over two years, finally they set their selves free.
