CPS caseworker in Texas (NOT) arrested for soliciting a minor online. Remember the old "Highlights Magazine" image search?

in familyprotection •  6 years ago  (edited)

This article is disturbing. Not so much for the obvious reason that another CPS worker was found to have been an abuser of minors, but because of all the things the article reveals (or doesn't reveal) WITHOUT SAYING THEM.

There used to be a magazine called "Highlights" that always had a picture in it, taking up a full page, where you had to find the hidden animals or birds, or snakes, (or whatever) in a fairly intricate picture. At least it was fun for a child, and I used to remember looking forward to getting the magazine every month to try to solve this puzzle. This article is like that. You see a picture, but what you don't see is what has been carefully hidden within the picture.

Here it is:

Let's go over some of the things we can find in this article that aren't said, or are said in a way that makes you think something else other than what they are probably really about.

It doesn't say if this perp (Adrian Martinez, 44) was vetted before being hired.

CPS has been under a lot of heat in several states for having strict rules in place to require law-enforcement-level background checks on potential new hires, BUT THEN NOT GETTING THEM. Why? Who knows...although they can be costly and time consuming. The department doesn't really seem to care all that much about actually "protecting" anyone.

It doesn't say if the perp was planning on contacting children whose on-line status/identity/avatars/usernames he was already privy to as a result of his work for CPS.

CPS has had so many black eyes in recent years over its employees using their positions to specifically target children under their care that this might be a purposeful omission. The article certainly SHOULD have discussed WHO he was targeting in terms of his unique employment status giving him access to children, but totally omitted any mention of that, one way or another.

The article says several times that the perp was arrested, and then near the end of the article it talks about the perp NOT being arrested, and how they are seeking a warrant.

This may be the oddest things about the whole article. Either Newsweek needs to hire some editors who can clean up awful writing, or there is something that doesn't quite add up about this particular issue within the article. I don't even have a good guess as to why even the title would suggest a guy was arrested who wasn't actually in custody. Is he going to get off scott free? If so, why??

The article lists 13 other people who actually WERE arrested in this current "sting operation" but (again) not one of them is a person of any high standing, politically, financially, etc.

We know, and have repeatedly shown in this blog, that CPS always tries to target parents and caregivers who are not likely to be able to defend themselves because they are poor, poorly connected, or not very bright. Has law enforcement taken the same approach with perps of child abuse, or is it something EVEN WORSE than that...?

Why are they targeting only people under the "age of 17"...is it legal in Texas to proposition 17-year-olds on line?

I could have sworn the age of consent was always 18. If it changed, I apologize. If it is "Okay" for a 44 year old man to contact a 17-year old on-line for sex, that he has access to electronically because of his position with CPS, then, even if I'm wrong about the age of consent in Texas, THAT IS WRONG and needs to be fixed.

(Ah...found my own answer. Still...)

"Child Protection" "Services" does NOT protect children, and they provide no valuable services to anyone. This case, and hundreds of others like it PROVE they are failing society in every way imaginable, and the degree to which law enforcement and media are helping them to cover up their waste, fraud, and abuse is simply disgusting. CPS has become part of an amazingly rich and powerful anaconda that is literally squeezing the life out of the nation.

We have got to stand together against this menace and put enough pressure on our "representatives" to totally reform or abolish it....YESTERDAY.

"Child Protection Agencies" are taking children away from their loving families.
THESE FAMILIES NEED PROTECTING.

Thank you guys and gals. You are AMAZING!

Sadly, this isn't a surprise. A sick society will produce sick people. The attempt at normalizing these behaviors must and will stop.

We need to strengthen our communities so that the children and the elderly are ALWAYS taken care of in an appropriate and kindly way.

I essentially fostered a few children while their parents (divorced with one of the parents being an alcoholic) were dealing with life's issues. I, myself, at that time was a divorced mother but was (and is) a stable person. I brought those children under my wing and they ALWAYS knew I was there for them, just like my own children.

I remember some teachers and other adults in my life that essentially gave me confidence when I needed it most. We don't realize what an impact we can have on another individual but it could be monumental.

While there are pedophiles out there.....there are also great people. Let's get out there and help whenever and wherever we can. We CAN make a difference.

Awesome reply. Thanks for taking the time to share those thoughts. I salute you for what you have done for needy children. You are to be highly commended. (Wish my upvotes counted for more!) Following.

I only wish I could do more! :-)

You've already done SO much more than most. God bless you.

The article never should have went to print as it was written. Contradictions abound, and confusion runs rampid in this entire newspaper article.

  • In title of article he was arrested.
    *!st line of article arrested
*2nd line bail set at $5,000 after being arrested
*Not arrested when sting operation took place between Sept. 18 - 20.
*Very next line, seven new warrants issued of which Adrian Martinez is one of them listed on new warrants.

Adrian Martinez position at CPS was that of a conservatorship caseworker. His job was to monitor the care of children placed in the state’s custody.

This in itself is nuts. In most cases, monitoring of an organization by people who are a part of that very same fraternity, is a receipt for deceit.
These people are not likely to throw one of their own under the bus!
With all of the issues CPS has, at the very least, monitoring should be facilitated by an independent group, until this vial organization can be totally torn down!

Thanks, sweed! Nice additional info. I really appreciate it. I hope my other readers see your remarks!

Looks clean and magical!!

So splendid and strong

It's delightful not just alluring!

If you know anywhere that pay me $15 a day to do the luring...I'd be more than up for it! ... (and probably better than 99% of people doing it at the moment).
I'd love to help catch these sicko's.
I knew that a decade or so of experience in the adult industry of cyber chatting everyday could be put to some good use, one day! lol.

LOL...You could always apply to CPS.

NO!!!! - I said catch the twats, not join the club!

Fantastic critical thinking. Yeah, this article is garbage even by their standards. Predators in our churches, predators in our schools, predators in the police departments, predators in state government, predators in the federal government, predators in human services, healthcare.....WTF???? Where are these people coming from? Are we like mass producing them? Is it evil spirits in music? wifi? cell phones? TV? or anything else I can think of? Where is this S*it coming from?! Okay, done ranting. This whole thing is just crazy. Kids are less safe now than before we had all this tech, money, and programs to "protect them".

AWESOME RANT!!! You need a bigger platform. You had me rocking in the aisles with AMENS!

I just don't want to live in the United States of Pedophilia. Ya know! Besides, I am.....indeed.....squirrel bait. If I say something is nuts, people should take note of it. (lol)

We ALL need a bigger platform. Problem is, when people like us do, they end up depressed and dying in the bathroom, hang themselves from a door knob, die out on a nature trail of natural causes while in perfect health, or drown in a river while swimming with their clothes on.

Depressed? Why would anyone be depressed over the truth setting them free?

I don't know but anyone who makes too much noise ends up"suicided".
