The objective is to separate families

In recent days we have seen numerous news on the news channels regarding the consequences generated by Trump's policy of zero tolerance, this is based on prosecuting anyone who tries to enter the US illegally, however, in order to Having said sentence must be of legal age, that is, infants can not stay with their parents due to the implementation of laws in the wrong way, without considering the repercussions of them.

In Texas are located "shelters" for children and these are wire cages where they are on cramped mats, having as a diet water and chips, to be able to tolerate the temperature have safety blankets of aluminum foil, it is important to note that these Cages are developed and run by private institutions that the government contracts to address these demands of the population in question. These, are built in warehouses or warehouses to house at least 240 young children, despite being the Department of Health and Social Services who have such checkpoints, called Ursula, it happens exactly the same as with American infants separated from their parents, are in charge of private institutions.

The above generates a considerable failure to reunite these many children with their families, among the tools placed at the disposal of parents and descendants are the telephone lines of assistance or e-mails to acquire information, however, if we start to think a little we can see that if an entity external to Social Services does not take note of the personal data of these children and makes a transparent, exhaustive and unified record it will be practically impossible to find a child we are looking for, since for Practical never existed. The information is collected just one hour before the hearings begin, there it will be decided if this immigrant will be sent to prison or a detention center, in fact the time is scarce to be able to collect all the important data and above all the access can be lost to those prosecuted.

Although these cages must be temporary and children have to be transported to shelters after three days of their stay, the reality is different, we even run into infants who still use disposable diapers and the companions must learn to replace and clean to these children, in the same way, there are indigenous people with their own ethnic languages which are difficult to communicate with the authorities, representatives, and social service agents, as they only provide assistance for Spanish.

The case of Beata Mejía

She is a citizen of Guatemala and actually entered the US illegally, she also ran with the misfortune of being separated from her 7 year old son, despite being released on bail, only once she was able to talk with her son through a telephone call, this particular case is striking since it is the first person to use measures against the government and Trump, Mejia, sued 6 federal agencies and 10 officials for removing her from her son without giving her whereabouts information.

She relates that when they separated her from her son, they put her in a bus full of children, and this somehow gave her consolation since seeing her little one accompanied by these infants, she knew that she was not going to be alone completely, she He constantly asked the agents if they were going to return their children and they said yes. Afterwards, she was subjected to a series of questions and at the end she was given the opportunity to say goodbye to her son. Beata also notes that in the room where she was housed there were a considerable number of women on equal terms, they all cried and could not get to sleep during the night, regarding the diet, they only gave him bread and water.

This desperate mother also notes having received innumerable calls where they asked for money to give her the chance to reunite with her son, she explains textually "if we did not give money, we had to give money they would kill the child" "when you do not give money they start to kill people. "

It is heartbreaking to know that the Social Service of a country is responsible for acts as horrific as separating families but, if we add that they also extort money from families, regardless of whether they are American citizens or illegal immigrants, it is painful know that no one is concerned about this series of events, children are the harmed, high government officials are implementing reforms simply to increase publicity, but where will these thousands of children who are separated go to shelters? Back with your family? Or back to your country? I do not think so, in fact, many of them will be subjected to torture by the nation, will continue to suffer from a scarce or nonexistent diet and considerable emotional repercussions.

Psychological repercussions of separating families

There are innumerable psychological consequences for these children, among these is the possibility of developing depressive symptoms, disruptive behaviors and the imminent malnutrition due to the absence of a balanced diet. We would also talk about developing feelings of abandonment and uselessness, the fact of experiencing insomnia is also a variable that worries.

In the previous link you can find an interview with the mother of the child who made the request since they did not allow him to see it, nor does he know his whereabouts, he also talks about the conditions where they are being held and the diet they consume.

In this you can find a report about the whole process and the condition of the shelters
The fact of separating a child from his mother is already a psychological aggression. However, what is limited in the publication belongs to the particular case of Mrs. Beata

Here we have a small interview with an immigrant lawyer where she specifies that they do not ask for documents to verify that it is indeed her father, since they claim that they are separated due to the absence of the same.

I am not defending Donald Trump and did not vote for him, but this link makes no mention of being limited to "bread and water" or anything about children in cages:

This link does not work. No photos will load:

I did find these photos of enormous rooms with security wire. Is this what you consider "wire cages?" Maybe we have a language barrier...?

The link above also shows the children being well fed, and far from having "only bread and water."

If you knew me, you would know I have been very critical of my own government about many things, but I do not see evidence of cruelty in these photos. I also do not feel that people who come (or are brought) here illegally should expect luxury beds and luxury meals. I do not eat as well many days as what I see these children eating.

Peace to you, and I pray your personal conditions will improve soon!
