@openparadigm suggested in a comment a post with some things to if CPS shows up at your door. I think it may be a good idea, with @familyprotection growing, to make a permanent tip sheet with some do's and don'ts that people can easily access (just don't ask me how to do it). I read an excellent study that a woman in Texas did about 10 years ago who had her children removed because of salacious allegations made by an angry daughter who had "dreams" of abuse. In her article she intertwines her own story with some excellent research. She had 7 children and homeschooled, making her a target for CPS, being a Christian only compounded her problems. The state is increasingly hostile to Christian homeschoolers... "Custody rights shall be terminated for parents who, as fanatical Bible students, cannot rear their children in accordance with today's State and because this endangers the mental wellbeing of the children, who are thereby prevented from participating in the national community." Sound familiar? This is from a ruling in a German court in 1936- it could be in the US (or UK) today.
The first point I want to make is do NOT trust CPS- they only care about your children insofar as they can profit financially from removing them. "Normal, innocent people do not tend to be suspicious and defensive, so they usually cooperate when social workers knock on their door. This mother offered no resistance believing that truth and justice would prevail and that we had done nothing illegal and therefore had nothing to hide. Citizens should NOT be removed from their homes and family members based on nothing more than hearsay." 9 out of 10 stories I read are similar to this- people tend to trust the government, particularly if they haven't done anything wrong. They tend to believe that if they cooperate that "everything will turn out all right." It won't! In this lady's article she states that 1 in 25 children will be affected in some way by CPS. I believe that if you make under $50,000 a year the odds increase and if you receive some form of public assistance, I would assert that you have a 50/50 chance (or better).
Do NOT allow CPS into your house or talk with them without a court order. CPS are either case officers or social workers, not law enforcement officers- they have no legal authority... you don't have to let them in. It doesn't matter that you haven't done anything wrong- they'll find something even if they have to lie.
Always be polite... if you act hostile toward them, they will use it against you. One of CPS's most potent weapons is pseudo-psychological warfare. They will make outlandish charges and if you get angry, they will cite "anger issues" as a reason to take your kids. In the case of the woman who did the study, CPS used an affidavit from neighbors she had never met citing "devil worship." They asked her questions about Satanism and "drinking blood." "Under the CPS microscope every word, inflection, and action is attributed with the most bizarre and outlandish "meanings." If you have ever bounced a check, you have a "criminal record"; if your child is shy, they are "fearful and withdrawn"; if they are outgoing and active, they are "acting out due to the trauma."
Psychology is a very powerful weapon for CPS... it's subjective- it can mean anything they want it to and they have a cadre of "experts" on hand to back them up. Remember, they want your children- their livelihood depends on it and they will use any and all tricks in the book to get them. If you remember the post I did on the new Michigan law, they were careful to include the psychological facet of abuse (and neglect). "...'physical or psychological danger,' without defining what the latter amy mean. 'Physical danger' is fairly straightforward... However, 'psychological' could mean any number of things- and here again I refer you to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child which is inevitably cited. If your child wants gender transformation surgery and you refuse- it may constitute 'psychological danger.' In fact I believe I did a post about an Ohio couple who had their child removed for that very reason."
4 Get a lawyer... If you have children, you need a lawyer. It's a sad commentary on our times when you need a lawyer on retainer to protect you from the government that is there to protect you... but it's better to be prepared ahead of time. In the US there are free in almost, if not every, state. If you contact them, they can either help or refer you to someone that you can pay $10 or $20 a month for a retainer- after all, how much are your kids worth to you. I can tell you what they're worth to CPS!You may not get F. Lee Bailey, but a bad lawyer is better than none. CPS depends on your naivete' and trust in the system. If you hand them a card and tell them to talk to your lawyer, they'll know you're on to them. Like the old saying goes: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
This CPS abuse is part of a much larger agenda- a ongoing concerted effort to destroy families and replace them with the state. "Behind the money is the socialist ideology that children should be raised by the state. This agenda was promoted by Dr. C. Henry Kempe (author of the Battered Child Syndrome) in the 1970's. An open supporter of the Communist party, he stated "We must remove children from the crude influence of their families and, frankly, nationalize them." Dr. Kempe emphasized the need for a "stealthy, incremental approach" to implementing the agenda to make families obsolete."
I've used this quote before (and was kind of surprised to see someone else cite it), it shows the mindset of the state... "Harvard psychiatrist Chester M. Pierce stated that "Every child in America entering school at the age of 5 is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. It's up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well by creating the international child of the future." I guess the State of Texas and the public schools are just “making my sick daughter well”." And again from Dr. Kempe: "We must remove children from the crude influence of their families and, frankly, nationalize them."
If you're not prepared beforehand, you're playing into their hands. They have the family court system on their side. The odds are stacked against us and we're playing against a "team" that has almost unlimited resources. All we have is each other. Thanks to @familyprotection and other groups like them, we can win. I'm convinced that if we hadn't been prepared and had my limited resources, my grandchildren would be in foster care right now. I hope this has been in some small way useful... God Bless and BE PREPARED! (I heartily recommend reading this woman's post)

Thank you @richq11!
When it involves cps, then Knowledge really is power!
As crazy as this may sound to some people, when you've witnessed first hand how they distroy families at the flick of a pen, this is the only logical explanation.
Thanks again for doing your bit!

Thank you my friend! What do you think about a permanent tip sheet for people new to the struggle... it may save some kids!

Rich - thanks for this information, I want to encourage people if they homeschool to be part of a legal organization. HSLDA is the one I use, if anyone from the CPS were to come to my home, I would call HSDLA and hand the phone to them on my front porch. The attorney from HSLDA would field the questions and would advise me or my wife on next steps. Small price to pay for piece of mind.

You should do a post about it and inform people. I was crazy enough to think I could make it alone and it's only by the grace of God I made it!

I may do that, I get a little antsy on my writing style. Grammar and such not always correct. I think I’m gonna do it, it is not a writing contest. This encouraging thanks

People are more interested in content than style. The more you write, the better you get at it. This isn't an academic journal and your target audience isn't PhD's. My problem was the opposite, I was so used to academic writing when I started on Steemit, I had to alter my style. I actually like it better- even tried my hand at fiction- it's fun.

Yep: that's the heart of it right there. It's a saddening trend, to see officiousness replacing reasonableness; it tears down community bonds. But it's happening; the record speaks for itself.

Interestingly, a former cop speaks at the tail end of Prof. Duane's video. He didn't mind the first part at all! In fact, he indicated that the police tend to respect folks who politely respond with, "I have nothing to say."
Politely, and calmly. That speaks to your point:
Never mind that 'angrily' really means indignantly. CPS has made it clear that they don't do dignity...

I've written numerous posts about it being part of the larger globalist agenda. They won't stop- there is just too much money in kids.

This is a great video. One that needs to be saved. So many people just believe that truth will prevail, but it is not so. Sad we the people are funding these out of control agencies.

It is a useful study, the child must be great with his parents, if we want to reform the society we need to reform the family, we note that many children suffer because of separation parents, who are the biggest support for children, do not agree to exclude children from parents, support children and care for them, parents Only those who are able to do so @richq
